Abbey Rose
The Abbey Rose joined our family in 2004 as a three-year-old rescue from North Carolina. She was the product of a hate crime. An estranged husband opened the cages in his exes’ cattery, resulting in irregular matings. Hence this amazing cat was produced from an Abyssinian mother and a Korat father.
Her Abyssinian heritage is obvious in her small lithe body, pelted, ticked fur and large ears. Her huge emerald eyes and tendency not to shed are from her Korat genes. She is 7 1/2 pounds of iron will and loud opinions. You will find her by the fireplace, in her gazebo (her summer office) or on my lap.
