16 Months Of Care At VFA

This is the story of 16 months of care at VFA.
This lady had her cheeks refilled to erase her naso-labial (nose to corner of the mouth) folds and I used Xeomin (like Botox, a Botox-Like Lip Flip Treatment) around her lips to soften her “smokers lines” (she does not smoke! hers are from pursing) and make her lips appear plumper.
In The Neck-Of-Time
Before
Here is a nice 40 year old neck. However the owner did not like its horizontal lines.
After
She used the new (2021) VFA neck cream, called In The Neck-Of-Time, of course, for 3 months. Below is her smooth result. She is thrilled, as am I!
Botox and Xeomin
Before
This lady had large lower cheeks because of masseter muscle hypertrophy due to grinding her teeth. Tooth grinding and clenching can cause the major jaw muscle, the masseter, to enlarge and change the shape of the face, as well as cause headaches, neck pain and tooth crackings.
Relaxing the muscle with Xeomin or Botox causes the muscle to begin to shrink.
After
These pictures were only 6 weeks apart; she will be getting even more effect in the next month. Thus a square face can become more oval again. I have done this treatment on myself many times.
This treatment is quite comfortable and costs $300 for the initial treatment of both sides. Some heavy grinders or male clients may need more product.
Before
This lady has a flat mid-face, probably since birth, and cheeks that have dropped from almost six decades of use.
After
By plumping her cheeks, her beautiful eyes will be balanced and her nose will appear smaller. All lips become thinner and tend to turn inwards with age. Filler will plump her lips and fill in those lines and muscle relaxation will soften the lines around the lips.
A major part of what I do is to restore the poetry of proportion to a face.

Before – The “11s”
This 46 year old lady appears tired and worried, and she hates her small lips. She has kindly decided to share her enhancement journey. She often scowls as she talks and doesn’t even realize it!
She is such a sweetheart, but doesn’t look like one.
Those are the dreaded “11s” in the photo above. We relaxed them with Xeomin, a Botox equivalent botulinum product.
Before – Around The Mouth
She feels that her mouth is too small and droopy. The muscles around the mouth pull down the corners of her mouth and wrinkle up her chin.
Muscle relaxation will cause the corners of her mouth to “float” upwards at rest and the line on her chin will start to soften.
After – Around The Mouth
Here she is immediately after her lip enhancement with a tube of Versa, a soft hyaluronic acid filler.
Needless to say, she was a thrilled, “I finally have lips!!”
After – No More “11s”!
Here she is two weeks later. Please note the smooth forehead and pretty chin. I couldn’t get her to stop smiling for the pictures-her mouth is not always that upturned!

Here she is 2 weeks later after Xeomin/Botox treatment looking her beautiful and self-relaxed. She is refreshed the VFA way.

This photo was taken under fluorescent light, the most unflattering light of all. This lovely lady had deep forehead lines, deep folds from the nose to mouth and a prominent chin that we treated.
After
Using a combo of muscle relaxers and fillers, the brow was smoothed, the chin line was firmed and the nasolabial folds blurred. Here in natural light, she looks beautiful – self-relaxed and refreshed.

These eyes are from an old woman-worried with drooping brows. She looks so sad and worn.

Now she looks calm, open and kind. Dr. Carol used Xeomin/Botox to soften the wrinkles and a little cheek filler to stretch out the under-eye lines.
Dermal Fillers
Before
This is a lady in her late 40s who feels deflated. She says that she looks sad when in fact she is not.
She has kindly shared her pictures so one can see the effect that filler has on raising the face.
After
Her beautiful oval face was restored immediately. Even the corners of her lips are up. It was her choice not to fill her temples a bit too.
In addition, the “worry lines” between her brows when she talks are gone too. We put muscle relaxers in the chin muscle so it doesn’t wrinkle up and that horizontal line under her lower lip will fade away.

These are the pictures of a beautiful lady in her 70s with a “weak chin”. She has always felt that it diminished her face. If you would imagine a vertical line at the tips of her lips, you could tell that the chin is way behind this imaginary beauty line.

By placing the filler Radiesse onto her jawbone at her chin, we adjusted her profile, and stretched out some wrinkles too! Put that imaginary line back and you will see that the tips of the lips and the tip of the chin are all on that line! Her face is perfectly balanced now.

These before and after pictures were taken 15 minutes apart! In this before photo, you can see how her 70-ish face is sagging.
She was also not a sunscreen lady.
After
Even before she started to take supplements and work on her skincare, Dr. Carol replaced the lost cheek volume with Radiesse.
She softened the lines around her mouth with Juvederm so she looked more kind.
Before
This 55-year-old woman looked tough. Her lower lip protruded, and the corners turned down. Note that the upper lip was thin and flat.
After
Using a soft pliable filler, Dr. Carol volumized the upper lip to harmonize with the lower one which has been smoothed with a very fine filler. Those drooping corners were firmly supported with struts of firm Radiesse filler so they are now level.

On first glance, this 50-ish lady has great lips. But, look closely, they are flat and lined.

With a subtle use of filler, Dr. Carol plumped the lips and filled in the lines. Now these lips are quite luscious.

This 60ish lady has always had a skinny face and high cheekbones. Now her upper lip has shrunk, making her lips appear stern. This non-smoker has lip lines caused by using straws, pursing her lips and style of talking. Her face is sagging.
After
Dr. Carol enhanced her upper lip and filled the lines above with a very soft filler. It took 4 syringes of Juvederm to refill her lower face.

This 40-ish lady came to VFA complaining about how tired she looked. Her cheeks are slumping down, giving her nasolabial folds.

Dr. Carol smoothed her forehead with Xeomin, filled the circles under her eyes (tear troughs) with soft filler and lifted the cheeks with Radiesse, the strong filler.

The hollowing beneath the eyes has been charmingly named the tear trough. Having these can make you look tired, sad and not so pretty.

Dr. Carol used a fine filler to restore her natural beauty in 15 minutes. She is wearing makeup in each picture-we just erased the shadow.
